Elaine Paige is perfection. This never fails to bring a tear to my eye.
However I don't think Jemimas voice suits her character... she's a good singer but she doesn't sound clear and innocent enough to be Jemima in my opinion...

Elaine did much better here than she did in the film. I was never a big fan but now I am after this performance. Still...Betty Buckley All the Way!!! YEAH MISS COLLINS!!!

Elaine is better here than the filmed version. Finally, a version with her "Touch me...." that rivals Betty Buckley's. Her voice is simply majestic here!
I thought this Jemima is very cute! ^^ But no other Jemima can compare to Helen Massey's voice in the filmed version, which is simply out of this world. ;)
