AWESOME!!! So long ago since I last heard this... And now I'll have to play it every day!

totally agree- the last 60 seconds of this is as good as it gets

n.b. when I was there, Steve Lipson (the eventual producer of 'A Secret Wish') hadn't joined the team yet.

Propaganda sounded *nothing* like they ended up sounding on 'A Secret Wish'. I was a newly-formed teaboy at Sarm West (thankyou Jill!) in 1983 and heard the original demos. Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what they did sound like (there must be tapes somewhere), but it was loads more punky/rocky, uncommercial and definitely non-electronic than the result of Trevor Horn getting his hands on them. I left Sarm after a few hectic months, and was amazed when I got to hear the finished record.

Amazing song, have loved it since the 1980's. This sounds very similar to the mashed up version of Jewel which is on a remix album they released, I bought a copy on tape, but since lost it sadly :-( Agreed that the last minute of this song is beautiful, as it all kind of comes together. Just lovely. Thx for sharing it.
Propaganda were a one hit wonder really, but what a hit!!! "Sorry for laughing" is quite good too.
I think this is the Cut Rough Version...
