From the Stronger Seniors® Chair Exercise DVDs
'Stretch and Strength'

The Stronger Seniors Chair Exercise Program is specifically designed for older adults or persons recovering from illness or injury. This program is safe, no-impact, and easy to follow.

Developed by Anne Pringle Burnell, Continuing Education provider for the Amercian Council on Exercise and Faculty Provider for the National Council on Aging.

Each program, Stretch & Strength, Pilates & Resistance Band, and Yoga, will help you become more flexible, give you a renewed sense of balance and well-being, and increase your strength.

The first video, "Stretch," consists of exercises designed to move your joints to their fullest range of motion, slow, easy stretches to release tension, and toning exercises for the abdominals and the back.
"Strength," will help increase your stamina with aerobic exercises, build strength with the use of small hand weights, and it includes a special section to develop and maintain better balance.

"Pilates" and "Resistance Band" focuses on the Core- the muscles lower back, abdominals, and pelvic floor. By building strentch and flexibility in the foundation of your body, you will increase support of your spine and internal organs- essential for overall health.

"Yoga" is a chair-based program that is designed for those who find most yoga DVDs too difficult, yet still provides all the healthy benefits of the practice.

Together, these DVDs provide a balanced exercise program for the whole body that will help you remain healthy and independent.

With the Stronger Seniors Chair Exercise t Program, you will see real results—strength, flexibility, endurance, and balance . . . all while sitting in your chair.
