More of my almost 4 year old who was diagnosed with apraxia of speech and sensory integration disorder when he was 2 years old. Attempting words like marshmallow and Tyler.
Amazing... My son was diagnosed with this at 2 years and 10 months. He's 10 now and totally intelligible. Hearing this little guy talk brought back too many memories..I nearly cried. I don't want to discourage you, but give you hope! With enough work these kids can have a normal life...
Jack is now 5 and has made incredible progress since this video was made! he is speaking in sentences 10 words long! unfortunately his inteligibility scores in the 5th percentile so he is still receiving lots of speech therapy. Next year we hope he has made enough progress to mainstream him into a kindergarten class.
I am so happy to hear your son is doing so well! does he still get speech therapy of any kind?
Sorry it took me so long to respond! I actually completely forgot I even posted these videos. I should post an update because Jack has come so far since this video. Anyways, apraxia is a speech disorder, if you google apraxia a whole bunch of websites have a ton of information if you are still interested that can sum it up much faster then I could.
