  • Lucid Dreaming originated from Tibetan lucid dream yoga and Taoism (Zhuangzi of ancient China).

  • @givethanks1314 You're right, probably no one ever realized they were dreaming before the Tibetans and Yogis and Taoists told them they could.

  • @benfaust

Everyone dreams. Lucid Dreaming allows evil spirits to come in.

A God-centered person gives no chance for any other spirits.

You are committed to your ways. I have done what I should do, and will stop here.

    Take care.

  • @givethanks1314 A lucid dream is simply knowing you're dreaming. Thinking that seeing a dream for what it is is somehow evil, is pretty far fetched, not to mention it has absolutely no Scriptural backing.

  • @benfaust

If a person cannot tell his/her dream from reality, he/she should see a doctor. *_*

A Christian pastor should focus on preaching the Word of God - the Bible, not getting people to dreams, or relaxing muscles, breathing ... am I right?

  • @givethanks1314 I'm talking about WHILE they're dreaming. If you always know you're dreaming while you're dreaming, you are in the minority. We're usually deceived by our dreams into thinking they're waking reality until we wake up.

I am a computer programmer by profession. A pastor, or anyone else for that matter, should do what God tells them to do. That's like saying a pastor should not be a doctor or physical therapist. "Pastor" is "A" calling, not an exclusive box.

  • My sign is a golden gauntlet

  • @givethanks1314 - The Bible is a book that if you got caught reading, or even were ABLE to read at ALL, up until the 18th century, there was a good chance the local priest would have you hauled out of your hovell in the middle of the night and you wouldn't be heard of again.

Why? - Because it's all true. (But you have to read it metaphorically)

Oh Look! ...Something just went over your head!!

  • @Hellishcrusade << so you are interested in the Holy Bible. Go sweat yourself and study it. I did not talk out of my own, but from the Bible.

One thing is certain, you are currently standing in the camp of Satan.

If you really want to see the truth of the spiritual world, know what the Bible says and pray that God have mercy on you and open your eyes.

My Bible teacher is Pastor John MacArthur. Google "Grace to You".

  • @givethanks1314 - I'd be interested to find out how you came to believe these things?

When did the fallen angels follow this 'Satan'? How many of them are there? Have they stopped now?

Angels were created by God? ...as lifeforms or thoughts?

Yes, the objective of all Buddhists is to become one with their god ...i.e. their own god.

Their body is a lesser form of their god....an 'incarnation' if you will.

Their god sent them down to Earth (do you see where I'm going with this)

  • @Hellishcrusade

    1. evil spirits are the fallen angels who followed Satan

    2. angels were created as heavenly beings thus should be created before mankind

    3. all religions have spirit behind them

    4. Buddhism in theory does not believe in any form of spirits or gods. Buddhists work very hard to become gods (Buddha) themselves :D

    5. Folk Buddhism does believe in spirits and people try to achieve their goals by getting help from spirits through mediums.

  • @givethanks1314 - Do I understand this correctly? - You are a Christian who believes that 'evil spirits' also exist too? Where do these evil spirits come from? Were they around before mankind, or are they the spirits of evil men who died? ..and If they DO exist, that means that the other religions are true then doesn't it?

By the way, Buddhists don't believe in any form of spirits, or gods.

  • Cool

  • Interesting, I have had a number of dreams that when I wake I remember them totally and still do remember them 25 years later, they have always occurred in groups tne longest was two days with a period of time between them, then another dream begainning before the end of the first one, continuing beyond the one before it. this one in particular lasted about two years, with the last dream in may of 1997, I've always believed they ended because of a truck wreak in june of 1997.

  • @givethanks1314 You are wrong. Bronze age mythology and superstition have no place in the modern world or in the minds of reasonable people.

  • @givethanks1314 People have probably been lucid dreaming throughout the history of the human race. I didn't even know it was possible until it happened to me. Still, the people you mentioned were probably the first to develop it into a science.
