If you watch the mini safety vide thing on here he says it had terrible accident safety and the designer of the mini said "I design my cars which such good steering, brakes and handling, that if a driver gets into an accident, it's there own fault" lol Sir Alec issigonis, what a ledge :)

@starlord The hole cut out in the boot was for assembly at the factory, there was also a similar hole in the firewall, (behind the speedo).
When the mini was built, it was constantly rotated through 360 degrees.
