  • I personally hate marching band...having participated in it in high school and developing a passionate disdain for it...

    however, I will say that Prokofiev's 5th symphony was a wonderful choice for a marching band show...and played pretty well by high school kids. I stumbled upon this video after searching for prokofiev videos. I expected to be completely disgusted but quite the contrary...I enjoyed this quite a bit. Good band directors you guys have!

  • Way to go band! The memories of the 3 against 2, nights of trying to get the ebb and flow of Rachmaninoff just right, growling out the low notes at the start, all continue to live on in my head! ~ Jonathan N.
