Vanessa, Lynn, Corin, and Jemma Redgrave make a very special appearance to read Poems from Guantanamo: The Detainees Speak, a collection of poems written by detainees held in the US detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Marc Falkoff, attorney and editor of Poems from Guantanamo, will also be with us. Presented in partnership with the Center for Constitutional Rights.

A Question of Impeachment
Culture Project brings crucial and timely concerns to the fore once again with a new, unique series that gathers some of the most brilliant and visionary minds of our time to explore and debate the case for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

  • Vanessa defends terrorists. Outside the borders of Guantanamo base, there is a country named Cuba & Castro has taken away every single civil & human right for half a century, the cruelest tyranny in this hemisphere, 50 long years that Cubans have been deprived of democratic elections, right of free speech, association, etc. A country where prostitution rules, fear, executions; more than 2 million Cubans have left their beautiful island because of this tyrant. Redgrave approves the tyrant.

  • Abdullah Al-Ajmi was being held at Guantanamo. After he was released he drove an armored truck with an estimated 10,000 pounds of explosives into a compound and killed 13 Iraqis and seriously wounded 42 others. I wonder if the relatives of these 55 victims feel if Al-Ajmi should have been released. If (or should I say when) other detainees who are released commit similar acts everyone who clapped at this show and supports this cause will bear some of the responsibility. How proud you will be!

  • Thank you for doing this!!! Humanity should learn of all of you!!! Human rights must be respected EVERYWHERE, FOR EVERYONE, if we want to be called (and just be JUSTLY HUMAN. THE REDGRAVES ARE NOT ONLY GREAT ARTISTS, BUT AN EXAMPLE FOR EVERYONE.
