I live in the Orthodox nation of Romania and I'm proud to call myself an Orthodox Christian, but I also feel terribly sorry for what has happened to this holy Byzantine capital... How is it possible that the greatest Orthodox cathedral in the world has minarets surrounding it? How can such blasphemy be tolerated...? Asia Minor is BYZANTINE land and has for centuries been Christian... I truly hope that one day, these lands will be reclaimed by the Greeks in the name of history and of our Lord!

1. Greeks was the name for that territory long before 1820.

2. Romans named all Greeks after a single tribe of HELLENES that lived in the region of Epirus( south of todays Albania)

3. Ancient Greece never has existed, but it is the best possible translation for the original Ἑλλαδα,-ας which includes whole territory of the south Balkan peninsula the HELLENES populated. Ionia was a separate region of Asia minor shore city-states (πολυς) so shut the fuck up dude!
