Narrator: "Give me an example"
Glenn's mind: *Searching all beethoven's works, analyzing their interpretation, figuring out most fitting example*
Glenn: "Alright"
Just Brilliant:D Love that man.

I don't take it as an insult, I see it as an opportunity. Look up everything you can find about Glenn Gould. He was one of the best pianists of the 20th century and truly a brilliant person, and very interesting. There's tons of videos of him on Youtube, talking about music, playing music, documentaries about his life.
If you like this video and you like classical (or even if you don't), check him out.

Any links to where these two examples Gould talks about are explained? Or is this one of those Bible references that everyone just takes on faith because we trust the interlocutor?

Extemporaneous English rolling out in sonata form, complete, including the surprise ending, where in the last sentence he flips the 'mirror' theme itself and slips through the looking glass ''...where you, as a performer, may indeed know more about the structure of that piece than the composer may have!''
I'm pretty much floored, needless to say, needles touché

I'd love to see that "mirror" passage in the Hammerklavier. Has anyone found it?
