what do you think of Cold Steel Racon Scout and SOG Gov-Tac ?

@urkingod I've got a Recon Scout and LOVE it. Lot's of knife and a great chopper. I haven't had an opportunity to get my hands on a Gov-Tac. What do you think of them?

I don't agree with you guys, i love my seal pup, great cutting for it's size and if you have any idea what your doing it is easy to sharpen. Only knife that i have that i like better is my grandfathers KaBar but i don't fuck around with that too much cuz she is getting old great blade though

@xDdevinexD Which version of the SEAL Pup do you have? I haven't had a chance to use the Pup Elite, so I don't really have much to say about it.

SOG, S&W, and Cold Steel are all unreliable junk knives. Get an ESEE or a Busse.

@ZeroToleranceKnives You might be right. The S&W was garbage, the SOG doesn't hold an edge, that machete I made is more novelty than function. I do like my Recon Scout (carbon) though. I'd like to try some pricier knives in the future. Let's see some of your knives in action, or at least a review. Thanks for commenting.

Why are people trashing on SOG as if the models they are using are for survival? They are combat knives, not made to chop through mounds of tree limbs.

keep the pup...throw the honking knife...buy a scandanavian forest axe...knives are not for chopping

@urkingod I got a Gov Tac and I did some moderate use and it still held up. it holds its edge pretty good however it still rusts slightly even though it is stainless steel.
