  • Beautiful. If you love clouds, try checking out the Cloud Appreciation Society :)

  • @Parax2319 I will

  • Polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs), also known as nacreous clouds, are clouds in the winter polar stratosphere at altitudes of 15,00025,000 meters (50,00080,000 ft). They are implicated in the formation of ozone holes;[1] their effects on ozone depletion arise because they support chemical reactions that produce active chlorine which catalyzes ozone destruction, and also because they remove gaseous nitric acid, perturbing nitrogen and chlorine cycles in a way which increases ozone destruction

  • that's right.

PSC type 1 is a factor to the destruction of the ozone depletion because of their content of different gasses and acids.

But PSC type 2 does only contain water ice that does not makes holes in the ozone depletion.

  • Oh, that's my dream - to spot nacreous clouds. Too bad that in Czech Republic conditions aren't right :).

  • sad... but you are lucky!

you have seen a bright haloview in diamond dust. thats my dream:)
