A view of the G3XBM ham shack operating position in December 2009. The station is shown running on 500kHz WSPR mode with the PC monitoring the WSPR database. In the video are the IC703, FT817, MFJ Cub, Elecraft K1 and a SignaLink USB interface. The 500kHz transverter is the small black box under the clock to the left of the main rigs,

  • Hi Roger, I have just built the uu80b micro-transceiver from the schematic which I found on your web site. And I'm pleased to say, it's working really well.

  • Thanks Peter. I have renamed it the XBM80 on the website. I hope to make some improvements to the design (offset adjustment) and will then box it.

  • You're right about the left mouse key! I replaced the main keyboard some months back but always use an external mouse so didn't bother about the left mouse button.

  • I should have said the mouse key still works and is in place but it has lost its spring. I think this is a design weakness.

  • Wot no PW Roger? I enjoyed the look into you shack and have discovered you are a railway enthusiast too! Regards from Rob G3XFD.

  • You obviously saw the Repton video. I'm a GWR man myself brought up on Kings, Castles, Manors and Halls.....

  • Your setup is so clean and organized, plus you have some really nice equipment, I would pay alot for your whole setup. It is very nice.

  • Yes, just seen the rename of the transceiver. It really does work well. Plus you have a great website.

  • Sorry Rob - I'll have to include a PW in the next video!
