President Obama Comments On Sotomayor Confirmation

Just moments after the historic confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, President Obama gives his remarks. He says he is "deeply gratified" that his nomination was confirmed. "She has the intellect, the temperament, the history, the integrity and the independence to serve on the nation's highest court." He adds "she will make an outstanding Supreme Court Justice."

In response to the only question he was able to get, he said he was "very happy" with 68 votes.
