Short extract from the Carved movie rushes.
Carved is the first snowboard movie shot using the RED digital camera in 2008 by Jonas Rejman and Daniel Reichenbach.
Swoard rider Antoine Pochon ( Swiss national BX) uses his alpine setup in the powder in white out day.
He is using a mix of swiss rotational and racing technique, not the EC technique by the book, however there is some poetry out of this 100 fps sequence we thought was worth showing.
For a better viewing experience, full screen at 480p is recommended.

This is a kind of video I would like to make. I buy the GoPro one of these day's and this movie decide me to finally buy one. Thank you. By the way I like carving a lot. I start with it in 1989 and still love this too much but filming it was with very bad quality. So you made me decide to film it again and edit it like you did. Thank you.

Great riding!! But I have a question about the video itself. Was it shot in a "white out" situation (but then how was it possible for the rider to ride so well?) or has the video been edited to reduce contrast so that everything looks white?

White out day, but also digital whitening during edition ( imovie!) the source was too grey and boring due to poor light conditions despite high end cam gear ( red cam and pro lenses) and pro crew too

thnx ;) there was some debate in the team about not showing this vid due to not totally EC approved style of the rider :)..
