This was recorded just four days after the ledendary 3-26-69 "Jacksonville Jam" where the Allman Brothers Band was founded. At the conclusion of the jam Duane barred the open doorway and said, "Anybody in this room not gonna play in my band, you're gonna have to fight your way outta here." This is actually a pre-Greg "Second Coming" show probably booked before the jam session. It is an interesting piece of history of the start of the Allman Brothers.
The Allman Brothers Band
Duane Allman - Guitar, Vocals
Dicky Betts - Guitar, Vocals
Berry Oakley - Bass, Vocals
Butch Trucks - Drums

  • Dickey singing & 1st lead, Duane 2nd lead w/ wah wah-that was my impression first time I heard it ever

  • @thevinylplane mmm i dont think so man, duane with a wah would be cool though :p jaja

  • @randycalifornia i tend to agree this does not sound like Duane who has a very distinct style once you know it..

  • Fully expected Gregg to be singing lead... Dickey fucking tearing it up instead! Yeah!

  • DANG!! Let 'er rip!

  • @randycalifornia even at the end there???

  • Just like to say we were here at 2,253 hits. This is SURE to go viral if it doesn't get taken down.

  • now this is where the lessons are taught and learned

  • dont think Duane is here bro, that guitar ( the only guitar i can hear) sounds totally like Dicky to me
