Nick Paupore... dang. I remember that morning. My humvee ended up switching places w/him, I was told. We were bumped back to be the second truck in the convoy; his truck took the lead.
He ended up in my humvee, holding on tightly to our gunner's hand as I sped the truck all the way to EMEDs.
