Winston Ntshona is Sizwe Bansi, who for reasons we don't know yet, introduced himself to Styles in a previous scene as Robert Zwelinzima. In this flashback, Bansi and Buntu have found a dead body and are examining the dead man's passbook, a form of ID in apartheid-era S. Africa required for blacks only. Bansi's passbook says he is not allowed to stay in New Brighton and must return to Port Elizabeth. Recorded 1981, Bravo channel.
the story cast a light on the beaurocratic gap between the officials perpetuating personal identification systems, and the man on the street. it is a literal review of the ingenuity of people and the lack of depth of a system devoid of social insight.
