Benton Harbor Shopping Mall Adventures

After a short 45 minutes of our drive from Kalamazoo back to Chicago, Gretchen's car broke down. Fortunately, we made it to the nearest BP where they were of absolutely no help to us and so we waited... and waited until finally our good friend Kerry crammed the four of us in his car and gave us a tow to two different Benton Harbor auto repair shops (turns out auto repair shops don't stay open past two on Saturdays) where we were then informed that Gretchen's engine parts had bent themselves, her car would never run again and also that the town we were in, Benton Harbor, had the highest murder rate per capita in all of Michigan.

One of the Midas employees generously offered us a ride to the local shopping mall. After passing two malls, our future began to seem grimmer and grimmer by the second. But eventually we arrived (unharmed, a little shaken) at Orchards mall. This mall was by far the creepiest, most depressing place anyone has ever seen. The pictures (and scary song) explain it all...

We spent a good 3 1/2 hours there until Alex finally came to our rescue.

Benton harbor is a dump always has been always will. Do they still ship the blacks to coloma? i used to beat up so many blacks in the day. because of that. God thats why i got suspended forever to many racial fights. but after the 4th black kid i beat up they didnt fuck with me anymore god that was back in 96 or 97. Ah the fond memories. i still remember when a black girl brought a gun to school. then the metal detectors whent up i heard. thats when my family moved to NY.

Benton Harbor hasn't been shit since Sinbad left way back in the 70's. I grew up their awhile back, went to Fairplain Northeast. It was once a proud place to live and now the town has gone to shit. The people who live their do nothing but complain, and produce nothing but offspring. Yeah, the simpliest thing to make. That's it. They have nothing that anybody wants and do nothing but blame everyone else for thier struggles.

The first two "malls" you passed were probably just shopping plazas in Fairplain... Orchards is the only actual "mall" by definition in BH. But yeah, unsettling shit for sure.

I used to work at this Mall. That whole area has just gone to shit. Mainly bad government on both the state and local level. A lot of crime and it's own population starting riots and destroying their town to make a "point". Precious19 is a moron.
