You know how your car gets really hot on a sunny day, especially if only some of your windows are tinted and your car has a black interior? the infrared light- what you see as the filaments in a toaster- heats up darker surfaces that absorb more light. lasers have most of the energy going to one color of light. most videos use black balloons or sharpie markers because black absorbs more light. don't make lasers without a laser housing and lens assembly that's adjustable.
