Stéphane Casalta started out as a member of A FILETTA and later became the founder and main support of the GIRAMONDU project for which he wrote and composed both lyrics and music. This corsican group soon was known as a reference point in Mediterranean music towards the end of the nineties.
At present he is one of the most creative and inspired artists of his island where singing accompanies each moment of everyday life. Always departing from the age-old ancestral chant which he carries deep inside and which he'll never ever betray, his music has currently become a universal prayer with multiple influences, and travels many different roads. His voice is regarded as one of the most powerful, strong and sincere of the Mediterranean.
