MY GOSH! Breast feeding is maybe the most important a mother as to for her child. There nutriments for the brain development only present in breast milk, which could result in a 25% smaller brain if not done! This is total brain washing stuff! Stop doing everything the professionnal and government tell you people.

@TheNextAvrilLavigne I think it just depends on the baby and if they need both to fill them up. I've read you should feed from one side and at least offer the other (this way you'll know if the baby is satisfied). I've also read that you could feed for a longer period of time on just one breast so the baby can get the hindmilk instead of just the foremilk. Personally, I usually just feed from one breast and just make sure I use the other breast when the next feeding rolls around.

@GuiltyOfFaceCrime is it true that you have to switch from one breast to the next when nursing your child?
-
@TheNextAvrilLavigne you can become engorged from skipped feedings, and that can be painful.

I never heard of breasts becoming sore from skipped feedings, how can that happen?
