@bl0115 Point of information -- tickets to the Late Show are free. You just have to sign up or show up at the right place and be lucky enough to get them. The chairs are tiny, the views of the stage and musicians are not great, and you are basically ordered to laugh and clap like you're on drugs. Other than that part, I agree with you what you said. Heh.

@pattyrockinalways I went to a Letterman show, and before you get in they give you this whole speech about how you, as the audience, need to laugh when Letterman makes a joke. They actually practice laughing as a group with you. Its actually pretty pathetic. So the audience was probably in "laugh mode" and thought this whole thing was some kind of weird joke.
