@judgedredd123 "independence" is close...whatever that means, i will be happy when independent not for scotland but for breaking down the state closer to local people with global vision
-
am looking for the speech that was in the new york times
-
@thistlewarrior I thought that's what I was saying :)
-
@judgedredd123 Let's ask the people before any of us tell someone else what the people want or don't want. To do anything less is an insult to Scotland and her people.

@BurkeHare1 Is it not reasonable to make the assumption that without negative external influences, ie American blockade and embargo of Cuba or the American led arms race and constant provication of the USSR, that those socialisms would have, and indeed for a long time did, work?
Capatalism is the fanciful ideal that leaves your fellow man behind regardless of fault or blame or circumstance.
Socialism has never claimed to be a perfect solution but it is a perfect start to a perfect solution
-
@jumbolugs2010 Agree with what you say, but the people don't want self-determination, at least not as an independant Scotland. If you impose it it's not self determination but fascism
-
Nonsense. For every socialist sucess story I will give you two failures.
Cuba & The Former Soviet Union.
Socialism is fanciful. It is idealism dressed in serious clothes. It doesn't work in practice.

@BurkeHare1 Socialism is the solution to poverty and inequality in Scotland and the world, and we can look at countries like Venuezela to see the massive improvements in life quality for people made there after the introduction of a socialist society. Please stop the paranoid capitalist propaganda. The real cancer of Scotland are the conservative and new labour governments who have eradicated our economic infrastrucure and have created through their upper class corporations, mass poverty.
Supporting Scottish independence does not stop someone being a socialist.

I'm looking for the "...and there will be no hooliganism" speech. I find it kind of electifying.
