Bob Dewaay and Dick Kuffel discuss a popular movement called: The New Apostolic Reformation, which focuses on the establishment of new apostles and prophets in the church. Bob shows from the scriptures that were only 12 Apostles given in person by Jesus Christ. Therefore, no more apostles are given for today. We still have the ministry of apostles since we have their writings in the new testament. Many of these apostles and prophets speaking great things today and are leading people astray as they force new revelations and prophecy on their congregates. I do have some first hand experience in this movement as I attended one these apostolic churches in my hometown. Much of what they did looked so much like the world. And the justification for such actions were based on new revelations that contradicted scripture. Below is a link to the article Bob Dewaay wrote on this matter. I suggest that everyone listening to this video to do two things:

1) get out your bible (KJV preferable)
2) strongs concordance
3) Bob Dewaay's article on this movement

  • This is a bunch of powerless religious nonsense. Study to show yourself approved, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. If there are no new apostles, then there are no new pastors, evangelists or teachers. :(

  • FreeBornSon, The foundation is not being laid continually. It was laid once for all. Apostles and Prophets[ of scripture] declared the things of God. All we have here is a bunch of self-proclaimed apostles and prophets speaking lies and hypocrisy. I know this for fact since I was under one of these false apostles. They twist the scripture like a sham-wow!!! You need to study to show yourself approved instead of following false apostles and false prophets.

  • JESUS COMMISSIONED HIS APOSTLES!!

John 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

  • John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

John 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

  • "Oh, man"

  • What about Ephs. 4.11. nd, He Himself gave some to be apostles, . . .

For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. If their continues to be pastors and teachers, one could argue that apostles and prophets are also part of the church. However, this Apostolic Movement has run amok and it is about dominion and control!

  • @wbcmoses I didn't see a reply to your enquiry so i thought i'd try. You are correct, Jesus did appear to Mary & hundreds of others. They were not apostles though. Scripture seems to indicate that an apostle must be called & instructed by the Lord Himself. Hence why Paul had a special visitation. One should note however that Paul did not actually see Jesus but heard Him only. The next time the Lord will appear will be in power & as judge.

  • Hello I hear what your saying about how apostle's are eye witnesses of the resurrected Jesus. Just had a question and its not one based in doubt of what your teaching out of the bible. My question is after jesus rose from the dead didn't he show himself to Mary magdelene and also a few hundred people? So would that make them apostle's as well?
