My koi pond mechanical/biological filter just before washing. My filter is only about 20% of the total pond+filter volume of 80 tons, but I have an independent bakki shower filtration circuit (see also V23). Moreover, I have only 15 koi in my pond.
Check my channel http://www.youtube.com/user/hooinc for more koi videos.
LOL, but why do you have a waste water treatment in your home?

It's the biofilter for my Japanese koi pond.

Hi.... great filter.... though I suspect you need it for all those large koi !
Can I ask .... does the crushed oyster shell do a good job of buffering the hardness and ph ?..... what is your local water like before use ??

Hi Sandy, the crushed corals were ok as a buffer, but very difficult to clean. Oyster shells are much easier to clean. Local water has Ph of about 9.0.
