  • my dad and his uncle and my pa say these old tires were better cause they would grip better and would climb anything

  • @rlewis1946 actually the bar angle has changed slightly since those days. I can't remember the old / new, but it has changed over the years

  • this is a standard Goodyear tread that was used for many years

  • im not sure about the tread design but the tractor is a mid to late 30s rumley 6 made by allis chalmers, allis was the first tractor manufacturer on rubber, they also had a deal with goodyear about the same time for rubber tracks on crawlers but it never made it past the design stage, i have pictures of those if you are interested, very nice video!

  • It seems that the tread design shown here is pretty much what I saw on new JD tractors seen druing a recent visit to Wisconsin.... comments anyone... RL Atlanta, GA USA
