Speedbird One The Movie [Part One of Three]

BA001 is the new business class-only service from London City Airport to New York John F Kennedy. Operated by a specially configured Airbus A318 with only 32 lie flat seats, the flight operates via Shannon, Ireland, where US Immigration and Customs formalities are conducted, allowing a domestic arrival at JFK. Service is positioned as a deluxe version of the standard BA Club World product. Finally, a communications system provided by OnAir allows passengers to stay in touch with the office from 35,000ft.

If I remember correctly we flew at 37,000 feet on the way to JFK. And BA003 is indeed a night flight in the winter months as it gets dark around 1645 in London in November/December/January

they do take on fuel. they have to limit it to "stay out of the river" at LCY

This is a cool service and all, but it's a shame they gave it those calls. :(
