The chaps that restore things on this show are amazing. I actually think they are doing something incredibly worthwhile. It's awesome, that there are still people that want to save the past. I love this show ( couldn't afford their prices), but I still love to watch the process.
Thanks to Rick Dale and son you made old Bob the happiest kid of all. The joy and excitement on all the kid's faces are the inspiration that's kept him going for all these years. He's must have have been done well to shell out 8K for one of his novelty rides. Long live Bob!
Basic boating concept: The running lights on the center of the bow originally show the RED light correctly facing left. At the end, the GREEN lens is on the left, which is no longer correct. Observe carefully the before/after at 8:36 into this video. A great restoration job an all other respects, these guys truly are masters of their "craft"... sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Congrats on the History Channel exposure Bob!

When I was a kid, latter 60s and 70s, we spent a week or two every summer in Wiers Beach, NH. I'm pretty sure I rode in that boat.
