Feb 2012 edit: problem was caused by old, faulty cables. replaced the audio cable and everything's back to normal, here how to replace the cable: http://crossfadr.com/2011/11/16/replacing-the-rca-cables-on-a-technics-sl1200...
one of my technics 1210, which i've had for about 15 years now, is starting to act up a bit. namely, the right channel is NOT working for some reason.
this video shows that it's NOT a problem with the cartridge or the needle, because i swap it out with one that's for sure working, but the right channel is still out.
some say the four gold prongs where the cartridge meets the tonearm has to be clean, and you'll see that it is.
so, the problem has to be in the tonearm or the internals.
has anyone encountered this problem? if so, what's the fix?
All fixed, done both decks in about an hour and only cost the price of the new lead. Look @ related vids for easy to follow instructions. Good luck but you won't need it coz it sooooo easy.

If you've determined it's not your tonearm, nor your cartridge/styli, then the only other issue it could be is your RCA cables. Get them replaced, and you'll be fine.
