Totally agreed. As a senior in highschool, I was accepted to both ERAU and FIT. However, there are many other schools out there that offer comparable aviation programs without the extortionate price tag that ERAU has.

Good old love field. The only thing I don't like about this airport is that it seems like it is always windy.
I wanted to go to ERAU until I found out it was $250,000.

Sound is the Stall Horn - most annoying noise the plane will ever make.
The school is awesome though. You'd probably be better off checking around as many aviation schools as you can. Find as many pilots as you can and and ask them what good methods there are to being a pilot.
Really, getting an Aeronautical Science degree isn't worth much to you if you lose your Medical Certificate (Means you can't fly). There are a lot of other ways to becoming a pilot than going through ERAU. Good luck
