This is the way of the Peaceful Warrior.

This is a short overview of my "Personal Development Strategy"

Symbols are important. They incorporate meaning and they transport messages. People send and receive messages through symbols and symbolic practices. Thus, communication is based on the understanding of symbols.

"The world of symbols bypasses the intellect and acts on powerful sensory cues"
~"rainhard" NLB

FIRE = the spirit of LOVE
AIR = emotions / the spirit (the subconscious mind)
WATER = the Mind (the conscious mind)
EARTH = the Body

Detachment entails clarity and forbearance, the ability to see clearly in an impartial fashion, free from judgment, prejudice and personal desire, To attain freedom you must detach yourself from the materialistic world, all thoughts, opinions, and expectations of others, including one-self. This rules out confusion and gives you freedom to act accordingly. Disconnect from everyone and everything within the first reality. This is not to be confused with disassociation, denial or isolation. This detachment is the means to freedom, not an excuse for self-immolation.

Detachment means disconnecting from everything NEGATIVE; people, possessions, obsessions, bad habits, selfish desires, fears, beliefs, goals. Etc. Through detachment of this negative life style you will continue to pry open your third eye, inching closer to a real life. One must have freedom from personal desire in order to attain humility, this is central to the strategy in helping one with the ego , your only desire should be for the joy of all sentient beings. Misery, pain, fear, desire, work, sex, play are all distractions to the purpose of the warrior. You may enjoy and appreciate whatever comes your way, but you must never indulge in it, for this will lead to frustration and obsession, attachment and worst of all addiction. Warriors are indifferent to externals, save so far as they provoke some internal process, we take none of its activities to heart this cancels out obsession and worry. Know that for the warrior, the path is through the "system" and not into it. Only once you have reached a balance, only then will you truly enjoy daily routines such as work, play etc.

"True motives are hidden behind the materialistic world. What you see is not always what is real" --The Dalai Lama

Seek happiness, not from the things that you own but from within. The greater ones spiritual emptiness, the stronger the need to fill this void with material possessions. The gaol here is not to have nothing, it is to learn to be happier with less things.

========================================

ALL-SEEING EYE: A universal symbol representing spiritual sight, inner vision, higher knowledge, wisdom.

EYE OF HORUS: it represents the eye of Egyptian SUN-god Horus who lost an eye battling Set. Pagans use it as a charm to ward off evil. (See All-Seeing Eye)

CIRCLE (sacred hoop/ring): An ancient and universal symbol of unity, wholeness, infinity, the goddess, and female power. To earth-centered religions throughout history as well as to many contemporary pagans, it represents the feminine spirit or force, the cosmos or Mother Earth, a sacred space

TRIANGLE: Pointing upwards, it symbolizes fire, male power. To Christians, it often represents the Trinity. Pointing down, it symbolizes water, female sexuality

WORLD TRIAD: Originally an oriental symbol, it was adopted by western Gnostics as an emblem of cosmic creativity, "the threefold nature of reality"... In Japan it was maga-tama or mitsu tomoe, the world soul.... In Bhutan and Tibet, it is still known as the Cosmic Mandal, a sign of the Trimurti. Like the yin yang, it also represents eternity and in my symbol it represents the balance between mind, body and spirit.
The center of this symbol (in yellow) represents the "hub" signifying unity of the three powers same as in the "Threefold" symbol or the "Triple spiral".
