A thought-provoking meditation on the seal-hunt and what it means to the traditional way of life for Inuit.
Starring internationally renowned throat singer Tanya Tagaq, and Cannes-winning filmmaker Zacharias Kunuk (Atanarjuat, The Fast Runner), Tungijuq is a cinematic and musical expression of the organic and indisputable reality of hunting in Inuit culture.

@anutuk The woman is standing in a blizzard in nothing but a fur tunic and your biggest complaint is that her eyes aren’t the right color? Its symbolism, not realism, dude.

I saw this in my anthropology class today and many others, I thought it was a little freaky, but I get what the message meant.

I suggest watching the complete 7:23 minute version before making judgements. Tagaq plays the role of different predators and prey throughout the film, the blue eyes are no less realistic then the horns she wears in another scene.

Is she a supernatural being/entity? Perhaps is that why her eyes are icy white?

It's nice that there's a video showing Inuit beauty. But, what the f*ch with the blue eyes? Most Inuit have brown eyes. If you're going to show Inuit beauty, make it real, dude/dudette.
