and you call that "half speed"??? well one more reason you're not in the NFL...

All of yall who are asking how can I become better at wr & rb practice all the little things set up cones for every route that exist and break at each cone during that route...lot of shuttle runs since both spots require constant breaking & change of direction.....work on blocking, beating bump & run blitz pick up, reading coverage all the little things basically

you're the only good coach at expertvillage man...

and i promise you he would run that slant the same way in a game... no threat up field, just stright off the line right into the outside linebacker.... wow and this is what you want to show kids. just stop with the videos bro... and for everybody who see this.. neither 1 of those guys played college football... not saying you suck or anything but this should not be something you should do with no experience.

He loses all credibility for no WR stance at the line of scrimmage

The key to being a good RB is having quick feet so you can do dot drills. Take a mat or anything flat you can find and mark it with five dots in x formation (four corner dots and one in the middle) and jump with one foot on each of the two corner dot jump with both feet to the middle dot and jump to the other two corner dots with one foot on each.

I know of some you can do with a partner would you want those?

I am a short receiver as well 5"8' and when I make a cut I stay low because you can get open by making quick cuts and thus creating space between you and the DB.

I tried that back laying thing and it's hella good, i love it. That's awesome.
What would you recommend for route running??
Other than running the routes themselves ( practice makes perfect ) but would you suggest staying REALLY LOW as you break into your route because I'm a shorter WR.
Or would you recommend slowing down a lot more and keeping a tall base as you break into your route?

just search the footwrok drills because as a receiver u have to have great footwork to be able to beat guys doing your routes and just like mattploggerwr85 said those 2 drills i did a fair bit and it made a big difference. hope that helped
