Donnie Sutherland interviews Matt Moffitt and John Prior from Matt Finish in 1984 on his national Australian television show Sounds Unlimited on Network Seven.
Articulate and intelligent comments from Messers Moffitt and Prior, as I would expect. Maybe they were futuristic. I mean that in that they didn't play the media game back then and that harmed their success. Back then, 25 years ago, you had to have media exposure and had to 'play the game'. Nowadays, we have the internet, which, we all know, is a form of media. But, imagine what Matt Finish would have done with the internet if they were in their 80's incarnation now?
Thanks, I went to their myspace site, got a nice comment back from them, their new singer/guitarist is David Adams apparently, what I've heard sounds really good.
Most underrated band of the 80s for reasons outlined in this interview. They didn't play the media game, but built up a following through their gigs. Great band, great music ... such a shame Matt Moffatt died a couple of years ago.
who cares. the most underrated band in Australia. " Short Note" is a classic song.

Do you know how he died? What age? That's really sad, he's an icon of that era.

Yes, you are right- in 2003.
