@superpcenginegrafx I'll dissagree with the saturn one being the closest. Capcom classics Volume 1 on ps2,xbox,and gamecube was arcade perfect.
-
@Chepito2846 the genesis version has smaller sprites, this video upscales the image so each one is running at the same aspect ratio.
-
why do people say that the genesis version has smaller sprites and that its tiny.its clear to me that all versions have the same sprite size...can someone tell me if its true
-
@RyuHayabusa06 I see what you mean about the elephants and the floor
-
@superpcenginegrafx Look at the Elephants feet on the PC Engine, they don't scroll with the floor, they look like they float when the screen moves. All the other versions it looks correct.
-
Hehe, it looks more like you are playing match maker between chun li and ryu then playing street fighter. :)
-
i have the arcade version on mame32 wit hacks like super slow projectiles and air moves
-
The mega drive version is the only 1 with the extra couple in the guile stage.
-
great video

By the way, the in-depth comparison on your website is awesome. I wish there were more comparisons like that on the net.
I still think the SNES version looks best overall, followed by the PC Engine and the Mega Drive coming in last. The biggest thing I like about the PC Engine version is that the fonts and KO bar look closer to the arcade. Still, the colors are better on the SNES and the linescrolling on the floors is better.

I've heard the lines crolling mentioned before and after carefully examining both versions on real hardware with S-Video I still can't tell the difference.
I think that the duller colors on some floors may mask the distortion better to the average human eye through composite on SNES.
I don't have video editing software that lets me do cropping/splitscreen, so I can't make a video clear enough to show what I see in my dvd quality fottage.

Look at the way the floor scrolls under the elephants on Dhalsim's stage on the PC Engine. It just doesn't look right. That's the main gripe about the linescrolling, as the rest looks pretty good. Also, I know you say the colors on the SFC look washed out, but I think the colors often look too dark on the PCE, particularly Sagat's stage and some of the portrait. I do agree that the music is more accurate on the PCE, if a bit weak. Still, the PCE port is incredible, much better than the MD.

The S-Video of my PC Engine Duo just happens to output a dimmer picture, so the videos appear darker.
As for the screenshots on my site, I noticed a big change when my monitor died and I had to switch to one that has poorer contrast. In particular, PCE pics look darker overall are harder to make out in darker areas. I think that decent contrast is needed because the PCE colors have more range between light and dark shades, but regardless it's all opinion anyway.

I compared the floor scrolling of Dhalsim's stage but still couldn't make out any difference. I might make a hi-def wide view to see if that helps, since you're not the first person I've heard mention this.

A great video as always, SuperPCEngineGrafx. Where did the rock guitar remix of Ken's stage come from; was it a music file that you've found online, or did you make it yourself? What did you use to record the arcade version of the game, also? Welcome, folks. A special feature of the comparisions of games has come. The spokeswoman of Audio Deathmatch is here to bring the visual differences among the 16-bit versions of Street Fighter II Champion Edition to the arcade in The Graphical Critique.

The music is from the SSFIIT HD beta for Xbox 360. The Saturn version of Capcom Geration 5 is used to represent the arcade, since it's the closest port to the Arcade ever released.
