That xing signals are no good for daylight. BTW, I think the biker at 0:10 gaved the engine the finger!!

Try coming back at night and maybe the light might be visable. Then the whole "RARE" concept might be realized quicker and easier. The daytime does no good if you can't see or tell what is going on.

I think those "signals" are rather silly. No day indication?
It's during the day when you need the most warning. A biker/pedestrian can clearly tell there is a train coming at night (those headlights are bright, you know). What about deaf people?

I agree, there is a flashing light on the "X", but it is too dim to do any good.

I would not bother with signals for a pedestrian and bicycle path. Only signs.

There is a light in the crossbuck, which can't even be seen in the day time, so it seems kind of pointless to have them at this path.

I have a few thoughts about the things going on in this vid: 1 - The guy was clearly mental, which is proven by him not doubling back to watch the train. :) 2 - The bell sounds like a General Signals electronic crap replacement of the real bell (they are in Indiana)... most annoying sound, but cool X-ing. 3 - If one looks at Western Cullen Hayes engineering drawings, or the RR's plans, the bell(s) is always shown as "Pedestrian Bell." 4 - Wow, in the vid the path looks like an old RR. Is it?

Yeah, the guy looked at me like he was rabbid or something. Yeah, I hate these bells, THEY SUCK! Almost all electronic bells suck in my opinion. No, this was actually a road at one time. It was a one-lane bridge.
