  • This was written initially in a periodical as a poetry by Kavi Kalpataru. This was then arranged into a song by Avinash Vyas and was sung by serveral singers before it was made immortal by Mukesh.

  • This is a non filmi song of 1948 and was composed by MD Avinash Vyas. I dont know who wrote it but was probably a gujarati writer.

    But it is Gem of a song, never to elop from memory.

  • @aceji Yes he was married Guju Pet name Bachiben and also some time mukeshji speek Gujarati Language, also his two songs in Gujarati - Mahatab mayuro dil kash did taro, and pankhida ne aa pinjarun junu junu lage.

  • I do not think this song was from any movie..it is a song Mukesh sang at some request of a friend - so I was informed many years ago. Mukesh was not a gujarati fellow, but he had many many gujarati friends living in Mumbai.
