52 Major Crime Unit and Toronto Crime Stoppers need the help of the public to identify two suspects wanted for robbing a helpless taxi driver in Toronto's downtown.

It all began at around 2:00a.m. on Sunday, November 18th, 2007, when the victim, a 37 year-old taxi driver, picked up the two suspects in the Jarvis Street and Front Street East area.

They made him to stop a couple of times at different bank machines.

Shortly after the last stop, one of the suspects, who was now sitting in the front seat, grabbed the taxi radio microphone and attempted to wrap the cord around the victim's neck.

After a struggled with the suspects, the victim managed to pull the cord free from his neck and open the door to escape. The suspect in the front seat jumped in behind the wheel and drove away westbound on Front Street from Bay Street.

The vehicle was later recovered in the area of Lower Simcoe Street and Bremner Blvd.

The victim was extremely lucky and did not receive any injuries.
