OK, it was a slow week for me in gaming.

Anyways, here are the main games I played this week:

Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm (PS2)-

This is a carry-over from last week. I actually ordered it the same day as Rainbow Six 3, but didn't get it till this week. It's contains the Island Thunder campaign, but adds the Jungle Storm Campaign which is what I've been playing, because I still have IT on the PC.

JS retains the feel of what makes the GR series so engaging. It's not a fast paced game however. It's a slower methodical tactical shooter, but it's still an intense experience, because on screw up can mean near instant death. If you'll notice, I'm not exactly playing the game cautiously in the footage, because the footage would otherwise be uninteresting.

As with Rainbow Six 3, there was no one playing online. Of course, you've gotta put in a code to enable 6 on 6 (it's default 4 on 4) player rooms, and voice chat, so that probably helped to kill the game's online mode.

Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360)-

I'm not quite sure what's behind the whole Zombie craze as of late, but Left 4 Dead is a fun game. Even offline, and alone, the game's fun to play.

I recently activated a one month free Live subscription, and tried this game a little versus online, but I sucked at being a zombie, and my team suck as well. Plus I'd get lag screwed. I'd freeze up, and then just fall to the ground.

I'll have to try coop sometime, but i usually avoid it when I'm just casually trying a game out online. I don't want to get into anything too involved.

For the PC gamers out there, there is a valid reason to own the 360 version over the PC version, and it's called split screen multiplayer. For online, the PC is no doubt king, but if you've got a friend who want's to play along with you, the 360 version works great for that.

***EDIT*** I've been informed that the PC version does support split screen, so let me just say that, unless you've got a really good PC setup, it's still more comfortable playing split screen in your living room in front of your TV screen.

However, some people may have their PCs setup to be played as comfortable as a console in their living rooms, but most probably do not.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (PC)-

Sorry, I forgot to record the in-game sound, so I dubbed in a song from the soundtrack.

I actually never owned this game until yesterday when I bought the 10th Anniversary Medal of honor Collection from Wal Mart for a mere $20. With is comes Allied Assault, it's two expansions, Pacific Assault: Director's Cut, Airborne, a soundtrack CD, and a bonus disk for AA. It's not a bad deal considering what you get.

I'd also like to suggest Command and Conquer: The First Decade collection.

There was also a Fallout 3-pack there for $20 that I was eying, and am tempted to pick up considering that, due to the fact that I never had a PC growing up, I missed out on such games.

NOTE: For the last part of the vid, I made it years ago on a VHS tape. Look up my tribute to PS1 RPG vids for a description of how I used to make such vids. I even posted it on youtube, but that version hasn't aged well, due to the many site upgrades that make all my old vids look terrible.

NOTE: To those wondering where I got the SkyGunner comic strips from, I found them on the game's official website here:
