UK Border Agency hit the jackpot this time by nailing a major fraudster responsible for bringing thousands of illegal immigrants into the UK.

Jatinder Kumar Sharma and his wife Neelam Sharma assisted by another Indian national, were operating a major immigration scam which allowed thousands of illegal immigrants to gain entry to Britain on false documents and netting the Sharma's hundreds of thousands of pounds in profits.

They had set themselves up as an "immigration agency", providing assistance for so-called "foreign students" to gain Visa's to study in the UK.

In reality, they were making false Visa applications to the Home Office by providing forged documents and references from non-existent colleges.

All three were convicted and sentenced to lengthy prison terms. Astonishingly the fat little buddha was allowed to keep his house paid for with his ill-gotten gains.

This case illustrates clearly how completely lapse the UK's approach to Border Control and immigration really is.

For a start, there should be no such referrals or third party Visa applications on behalf of foreign nationals. Any supporting documents and references supplied should be thoroughly checked. All colleges need to be licensed with the government and regularly checked to make sure they are operating legitimately. This is the absolute MINIMUM we need to be doing to combat the rapidly rising bogus student illegal immigrants. Until we implement these basic measures, they will keep on coming and more bogus "colleges" and "agencies" will continue to exploit the situation. The problem is already out of control with a million illegal immigrants roaming freely in the UK. When is the government going to wake up and get tough?

  • I'm an Indian guy. And I honestly condemn these kind of people. They bring a bad name to an entire community and a big group of genuine students. The officers should have taken this very seriously he should have been severely punished. I don't get why these students don't realize there's great chance in India to have a good life. These kind of students should realize that cost of living and surviving in UK is very high compared to India, If you cant afford it then there's no point going there.

  • @BritainDivided ... so u think I'm a paki ?! .. another bullshit obeservation.. :D

  • @kblikesgh The two events (colonialism and mass immigration are in no way connected). Colonialism was always an "arms length" policy and it was never intended to mix up people or absorb other cultures into British culture. Mass immigration is a modern 20th century phenomena and is about consumerism and globalism. It's really just a way for big government to maintain its spending and counteract the low birth rate/aging population problem of Western developed countries.

  • @BritainDivided It is possible but highly unlikely. Your great great great grandfathers travelled worldwide and colonized many people. Well, we are here. I doubt if they hadn't done that we would be all over here in Europe. We can't change history. can we?
