How-to root your Motorola Droid 2 and Droid X (Updated Windows Version)

How to Root Droid 2 and Droid X using Windows using the DORoot program. This is an updated video using a quicker and easier process. The video was done in real time and actually took about 6 minutes to root the Droid 2. This method will work for Droid 2's that are on the new 2.3.20 system update.

Script was written by DarkOnion and Facelessuser. Original method is by Karnovaran and the binary/exploit was developed by Sebastian Krahmer.

This process only works for Froyo. if you are on Froyo, and it doesn't work, try looking into Z4Root.

well my battery is heating up during the nth try and for some reason the battery usage is being wasted on Bluetooth ... which is disengaged

@kev0475 i used your video to root my Droid2 a long time ago, and now theres an update for my D2, is there a way to get it w/out unrooting or do i need to do that. And if i have to unroot how do i do that? thanks

Not working on my Droid X at all.

After it says checking for device it freezes.....I gave it time but like 30 minutes went by. Then I have turn my phone off and on because doroot wont do anything on the second attempt.....thoughts??
