Climate Denial Crock of the Week - The "Urban Heat Island" Crock

Could the scientists at Nasa, the National academy of science, the American Meteorological Society, and every professional scientific organization on the planet really have been so silly as to miss...

So sad: I was in a PhD program in Atmospheric Science 25 years ago. The resident climatologist was studying the urban heat island effect to help understand global warming. Its sad that, 25 years later, effects studied and understood by climatologists a quarter-century ago, are still being used against them, as if Fox News figured it out all on its own. Part of a well funded stupification of Americans for private gain.

as for these brilliant multinational scientists: THAT'S JUST IT, THEY'RE MULTINATIONAL! THEY LOVE PREDICTING THE END OF THE WORLD TO BE FUNDED WELL BY NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL GOVERNMENTS!

if i was in their shoes, i'd do it.

this video perfectly proves global warming...where's the CO2 facts? should we ignore Le Chatelier's Principle for equilibrium?

These latest papers addressing aerosols are supported by other recent papers that show the climate sensativity to co2 is approx 0.3C for a doubling of co2.

Looks like both sides on this debate are spreading confusion. And off course, the old tactic, attack the messenger, because you can't dispute the message.

NATURAL VARIATION
The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer & in some places seals are finding the water too hot. Reports all point to a radical change in climate conditions & hitherto unheard of temperatures in the arctic zone. Expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met with as far north as 81*, 29' . Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth & stones, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

For each dollar spent on promoting 'deniers' position, almost 3000 are being spent on the 'alarmist' position. If one dollar might be a corrupting influence, then why not the 3000 dollars?

For every $3000 being spent finding out what's happening to the climate, 1$ is to spread confusion. Denialist don't do research, they just spread confusion.

spreading confusion is a proven technique, perfected by the tobacco industry, from which so many climate deniers have come.
