Mike, I love 'em all.

Very nice and cleverly done. For me, Jolson's Rabbinical voice really comes to the fore in his rendition of Hatikvah, the Jewish national anthem.

It was recorded (and performed by Larry Parks) for "The Jolson Story" but was cut from the final version. So I guess that makes three. And, of course, he sang it on Broadway - in "Wonder Bar" I believe.

What a wonderful piece! Thank you! Can you tell us when it was originally written and when Jolson performed it?

Thank YOU! ... I do not know who wrote it. Possibly traditional? Jolson made two commercial recordings of this, that I know of; one in the early '30's and the second in the mid to late '40's ... But probably knew and performed the song most of his life. :p
