@chmr103 oh i understand..yeah i did look at a few more vid's and they were uploaded recently so i guess they are still running..indeed they are way shorter..in the US our E60's are way longer and are heavyer due to the larger track gauge and tonnage over here...but its great to see these Ge units..its ashame Amtrak scrapped all of theres except 2..only 12 or so are still runing on the BM&LP out in the mid west..yeah i like the trains in japan they are sweet..the JR series and the others also

I know that rail transport in Taiwan is mostly passenger. I was born in Taiwan in 1971 and moved to the US in 1978. I never miss a chance to take a train ride when I went back to Taiwan (1983, 1991, 1994, 2002, 2004). I plan on going back again in April and will definitely take another train ride - maybe even the new Taiwan High Speed Rail.

My parents say that riding on a train was almost the only thing that kept me well behaved. I just stare out the window during the whole trip! Ironically I've never ridden on a train here in the US. Anyway, I really appreciate your hard work in making these videos which brought me back to my childhood. Thank you very much!
taiwan version of the amtrak, Mexico, and BM&LP E60's right there..they look identical but they have lower HP and are a bit shorter..great vid..these are still running today right?

Oh...! I don't know, 'cause I 've never been in Taiwan in recent 5 years...Certainly these are so short, so the tracks' clear length is not too long like as my homeland Japan...!

Freight trains in Taiwan are never too long compared to freight trains in North America.

This video may be unsatisfactory for you.
Railroad freight transportation is not active very much in Taiwan.
Principal loads are lime ore and cement.
