amazing pure indie group ....love it....from athens greece-hellas.......wipers,gun
club,giant sand,thin white rope,some of them.......but dream syndicate are...unique..... -
I feel like such a newb right now... I've been a fan of independent rock since the late 80s and gleaned many a record store shelf for great, albeit... lesser known bands. I could make a serious laundry list of all the great bands from the 80s and 90s that I love (I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about)... but I'd never actually heard Dream Syndicate till right now. Talk about late to the party... These guys are great! I'm a little bit embarrassed (or maybe a LOT bit)

@HimesInu Hi!You didnt offend me,its just the thought of him as a sniper....hahaha...And besides;he was blind in one eye and couldnt see straight out of the other. But that is probably where this necklace came from then!He must have found it on a fleemarket or something.See;you learn something new every day.
Thank you for your kind words, have a nice day!

@hildaatje I'm sorry if I offended you by my question. As I just said in reply to him, snipers wear a bullet around their neck as a symbol. It's called a hog's tooth. And I'm glad to hear you are slowly getting over the loss. I know the feeling. I've lost a few of my friends, either due to traffic accidents or the war. )O( Blessed Be and know that your friend is always watching over you.

@MultiAlan91 Actually no, it wasn't a joke. A sniper will wear a bullet on a necklace to symbolize the round that was meant for him. It is saying that the sniper is in control of his own fate. That's all. I wasn't trying to be offensive.
-
@HimesInu That was my reaction btw, just noticed that my son(MultiAlan91) was still online on my account.
He is only 13 btw,so have to talk to him about the 91 in his nickname! You learn something new every day!
Sneaky little.......
As far as the mourning goes;its a bit better.A bit.I still wake up every day and have that first moment where I realize;Oh,he,s gone. There have been days where it was really late in the day.He would be pleased.

Many years ago my mother drove a radio show called medicine show. She had a registration with steve wynn saying it was the greatest radio programm he had ever listened to *_*

This song carries a new meaning since 2 days, unfortunately. The man that first introduced me to this music,my best friend of 25 years, has died.
My dear dear John.
He used to wear a bullet around his neck and I had it engraved with his name for his birthday a couple of years ago.Because of this song.
He thought it was one of the best gifts he ever received. The chain broke last year,so tomorrow I have to look for it among his belongings.
I,m so very sad,but the music will help me cope.

@hildaatje
requiescat in pace (rest in peace) for your friend.
I think I can understand how you should feel, because few months before a cancer took away a dear friend of mine. Since childhood we grew up listening and discovering time by time great music, and playing a band too.
Surely music will help you to cope. Best wishes.
