Al Qaeda? Dont talk about it. It is banned terrorist organization in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and many other countries. Any statement or action taken in support of Al Queda is deemed as glorifying of terrorism and those who are involved will be arrested, charged and deported on the grounds of threat to the National security.

What about the glorifying of the Tamil Tigers. Another banned terrorist organization all over the world, including the UK. There are a lot of LTTE terrorists and sympathizers based in the UK, who provide active support to the LTTE. They raise millions of pounds for the LTTE course by conning the unsuspecting British public mainly by credit card scams. Beware, when you step into Petrol stations manned by Tamils.

The LTTE killed democratically elected Tamil leaders of the TULF, the Tamil political party that represented Tamil speaking people in the parliament, including its leader Mr Amirthalingam. Other Tamil leaders including the Mr Kadiragamer [former president of the Oxford Student Union], the foreign minister and many more were killed by the LTTE that only understand the rule by gunpoint. This ruthless terrorist organization is responsible for killing two democratically elected leaders of two nations, President Premadasa [Sri Lanka] and Rajiv Gandhi [India]. Current leader of the TULF, Mr Anandasangaree, a respected leader by both Sinhalese and Tamils cannot move freely in Sri Lanka without the government security.

So why the British attitude towards the LTTE is sympathetic and why the LTTE supporters are treated differently from other banned terrorist organizations? It seems that British think that they are not a threat to the National security in Britain and only a threat to the Government of Sri Lanka. The statements made by the Foreign Secretary, David Millaband clearly support this view.

The video evidence released by media on the rescue operation launched by the government forces is an eye opener to the international community. This evidence clearly shows crossing of forcibly detained innocent Tamils to the government control areas amidst being shot at by the LTTE. So, what is the true motive behind these protest march. Are they truly crying for the innocent civilian or want to save the cornered LTTE leader from capture or being killed by the government forces. If they are truly concern with the plight of the innocent Tamils they should be happy with the bold action taken by the security forces, sacrificing of its own members in the rescue operations. The truth lies elsewhere and they are crying for the mercy for LTTE leader, a wanted criminal by both Sri Lanka and India for atrocities committed by him.

Britain should take a firm stand against LTTE sympathizers who is trying to take the British public for a ride. Clearly the organizers of these campaigns are a threat to the national security of Britain as well. And there is nothing to prevent treating these criminal elements equally like those who support Al Qaeda and deport them form the British soil.
