SMART Boards, Math Games and Differentiation for Grades 6 - 9

Many district administrators emphasize the importance of differentiation, and expectations are placed on teachers to implement this strategy in their classes. This webinar provides SMART Notebook files that help teachers use a four-step game implementation process to ensure understanding of rules and procedures used in each game. Through a unique way of randomizing problems, teachers can easily differentiate the types of problems completed. In this way, all students are playing the same game but are using problems that challenge but do not frustrate. Participants will play and be able to download SMART notebook files and related student materials for games that include fraction decimal equivalencies, operations with and comparisons of fractions, operations and comparisons of integers, evaluating basic expressions and solving basic equations. Techniques for creating additional games will also be included.
