circuit bending SR-16

I'm using an MC-303 groovebox to send midi arpeggio patterns to an Alesis SR-16 drum machine. I'm also circuit bending the SR-16 with a paper clip.

does the sr-16 have piezo triggers inside the unit for the buttons?

I want to pull one apart and make some nutty drumtar.

Well, yes and no. There are piezos inside, but they are only for sensing velocity. The drum buttons are your standard button matrix.

well, don't mess with anything plugged into the wall. Only battery powered stuff.
