Antique Bed Pan Collection

Believe It or Not! Stella Downing of Fort House, New York, spent 66 years collecting bedpans and hospital urinals. The earliest bedpans in the collection date from the early 1700's and are made of tin. The newest models from the 1970's are made of plastic. Miss Downing started this unbelievable collection when 2 nurses showed her a soiled bedpan and tried to convince her not to become a nurse!
